Loot

Posted on 24 February 2012

Spontaneously awesome thrift-score today. Cue 12:30 pm and Vera would NOT let me take a shower. At all. We had about 1-1/2 hours until Jules needed to be picked up from school and as it was naptime (and V was starting to yell at me), I figured a 20-minute car ride to my favorite thrift store would definitely help the both of us. I don’t know what it is about that place, but I always come out of there with amazing finds. It’s my jam. I’ve thus declared it. Our loot today included a huge set of wooden alphabet blocks for Veevs (only $3.00!!!), a denim motorcycle jacket for me, some plaid boxers for Jules, some super rad striped bicycle shorts for when Vera gets bigger, a handful of items for the shop, AND a pair of Stride Rite sandals that I’m hoping V will fit into this Summer. SUCH a good day. Fun times. Fun times.
